Feel the Olympic and Paralympic energy joining us at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, leaving a mark in the sport history!BREAK THE ICE!Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability.Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.PositionThis position is an integral part of the Venue Development & Overlay (VDO) functional area and will be responsible for the temporary infrastructures delivery of one or more venues in line with the agreed milestones, project plans and budgets reporting to the Head of Venue Design and Delivery.
- Managing overlay delivery for one or more cluster of competition and non-competition venues.
- Manage General Contractors, according with contract documentation, scheduling / planning activity and site delivery / safety purposes.
- Managing to establishment and development of overlay delivery processes, including variations management
- Reviewing and managing changes on overlay delivery through the appropriate softwares.
- Management of site team overviewing set up and production.
- Develop and report on delivery of overlay projects across a cluster of venues.
- Full knowledge of all contract, technical specifications and program
- Full knowledge of site management documentation.
- Support and manage the ongoing relationships with service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
- Ensure a high standard of relationship with all internal functions, stakeholders and contractors and the like.
- Able to review and comment on the proposed design in line with the contract
- Knowledge of the budget implications of any proposed design solutions and be aware of budget constraints and design to a budget.
- Be aware and comply with the Corporation’s health and safety policies, standards practices and program, and collaborate with H&S
Requirements
- Experience in the delivery of sporting venues and temporary infrastructures for major sport events. Knowledge of design and delivery process, including variations and budget implications, experience in procurement, delivery and site management.
- Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management;
- Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of other languages is an advantage;
