Job Description:We are currently seeking a Expediter/Inspector for Packages, reporting directly to the Local VPM Head to join the team based in Milan.About The Role:The Expeditor/Inspector performs the inspection activities on materials in order to guarantee the supply conformity against the contractual requirements during the Purchase Order execution in terms of manufacturing quality. The role and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs key Inspection visits and issues the VPM Project deliverables (Inspection Report, Pre-Inspection Meeting, Inspection Release Note, Supplier Punch List/Outstanding Supplier Punch List, Non-Conformity Report, Inspection Man-hours Follow-up Sheet, Manufacturing Data Record Book review)
  • Beyond Inspection & Test Plan, the Inspector reports any quality or production issue identified in workshops.
  • Monitors Supplier progress performing key Expediting VPM Project Deliverables (Hand-Over Meeting and Expediting meeting)
  • Monitors production delays: Highlights to Vendor Performance Management Coordinators any potential critical path/event (past and future) that might cause a shifting of delivery date, requesting to the Supplier/Internal Stakeholders the implementation of adequate corrective actions and ensuring the necessary follow up of the actions settled.
  • Performs, as required, shop surveys for new Supplier evaluations/qualification.
  • Supervises Suppliers’ Quality control activities and overall production schedule.
  • Contributes to preparation of supplier and Inspection Agencies and Supplier performance evaluations.
  • Chair, checks and approves VPM Project deliverables (Pre-Inspection Meeting report, Pre-Fabrication Meeting Report, Expediting Report, Inspection Report, Inspection Release Note, etc.…) related to its assignments.
  • Actively monitors and reports its workload to the Resource Management team.
  • The above is applicable even in case of Remote Inspection activities

About You:We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:Must have:

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong mobility and leadership attitude.
  • Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Team spirit with a delivery/results-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of main packages in a plant, and basic design concepts.
  • Languages: English (fluent).
  • Fit to work knowledge of main operating systems

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous Experience in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical quality control activities at workshop.
  • Other foreign languages.
  • Qualification for Non-Destructive Examination level II or equivalent.
  • Qualification for NACE level II or FROSIO level III or equivalent.
  • Qualification of Welding Inspector.
  • Qualification for ATEX/IECEx or equivalent.
  • Any other qualification related to the Oil&Gas and Energy transition
