URGENT: Recovery Officer – 6 month contract – Antwerp – English, Dutch, French

Our client is a leading international bank currently on a recruitment drive, and with their most urgent need a Recovery Officer, to start immediately and continue until end December 2024, with good likelihood of extension. The on site location for this role is Anwerp in Belgium.

Daily tasks would include

* Examining incoming files and determine whether the file can be terminated in a legally correct way
* Responsibility for the termination letters and determining the collection strategy
* Contact the debtor or other guarantors with a view to reaching an amicable settlement
* Involving and followup with a lawyer if necessary
* Declare the claim iin cases of bankruptcy
* Daily communication with debtors, lawyers, notaries, receivers, bailiffs regarding settlement of the files
* Responsibility for the accounting aspects in each file, including write-downs

Dutch, French, and English language skills required

This would typically suit a a legal graduate with a Masters in Law (beneficial), some years in the banking industry and with an interest in insolvency matters
