Offer Description
Conducting courses in music didactics in the field of music education; participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the department, especially at the interface between university and school, as well as independent research, including towards a dissertation; participation in the planning and implementation of research projects and scientific events; involvement in relevant administrative, organizational, and evaluation measures of the department.
Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is a minimum of € 3.578,80 (14 times/year). Depending on qualifications and previous experience, a maximum starting salary of € 4.242,60 gross is possible.

Skills/Qualifications
The prerequisite for employment as a university assistant is a completed music education degree relevant to the position (Music Education, Secondary Level Teaching) from a university.
Specific Requirements
• Completion of a professional introduction phase (teaching internship or induction phase) and several years of teaching experience at the secondary level
• Experience with innovative music educational formats
• Demonstration of artistic qualifications and pedagogical suitability
• Demonstrated capability for scholarly work towards a dissertation in the field of music education (indicated by an outstanding diploma or master’s thesis)
• Experience with conceptual and organizational activities
• Teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate across sub-branches at the department
• Proficient use of digital technologies in a music educational context
