General Background:
UNHCR is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights, and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are forced to flee their homes to escape conflict and persecution. We are in over 125 countries, using our expertise to protect and care for millions. UNHCR is almost entirely funded by voluntary contributions from governments and private donors.
UNHCR’s Private Sector Partnership Service (PSP) supports the Agency’s global collaboration with the private sector through its network of fundraisers and national associations in over 30 operations in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East and Gulf region (“the PSP network”). The strategy focuses on both individual giving (IG) and private partnerships and philanthropy (PPH) and identifies priority markets and regions. The PSP network includes fundraising staff who are dedicated to PPH (“PPH fundraisers”), which refers to the work of building and managing partnerships with corporations, foundations, and High Net Worth Individuals (collectively called “PPH donors”).
Organizational context:
The Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Services works in different regions: Europe, MENA, Americas, Africa, and Asia, and further decentralizes at local levels.
The position will be part of UNHCR’s Private Sector Partnerships Unit, which sits within the Department of External Relations (DER) responsible for mobilizing resources to enable UNHCR’s refugee response programming around the world. The Associate PPH Officer (Corporate) position will be part of PSP Europe Regional team and will be home-based in Brussels, Belgium.
The position:
The Associate PPH officer will be part of a multi-functional team in the PSP Regional Office for Europe, which coordinates and provides support to Europe-based fundraisers to achieve income targets and other goals set for the European region.

While the primary focus will be on securing cash donations, the role will also support in-kind contributions, such as goods and services, and pro-bono support. By engaging corporations across these diverse channels, the incumbent will help maximize UNHCR’s resources and enhance the impact of partnerships.
The incumbent will to this effect collaborate closely with the HQ based PPH Income streams and support functions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the PPH Officer (Corporate), the Associate PPH Officer will perform the following responsibilities:

• Ensure information management and knowledge-sharing within PSP Europe and amongst European markets by preparing briefings, communicating updates, and informing on PPH best practices and initiatives that can be replicated in Europe and beyond;
