The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, analysis and optimization of turbomachinery components and sub-systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and safety. – Professional development and growth opportunities within a global organization.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesPerform and guide mechanical analysis of turbomachinery components and sub-systems, including stress, thermal, vibration and fatigue analysis.Utilize advanced simulation tools and techniques to predict the behavior of components under various operating conditions.Collaborate with design engineers to develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance and durability of turbomachinery systems.Lead and mentor junior analysts, providing technical guidance to ensure high-quality analysis.Prepare and present technical reports, analysis results and design recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.Guarantee design execution quality by following established processes, standards, and best practicesDevelop and implement analysis planning and strategy to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the analysis processContribute to the definition of new standards and design practices for continuous improvementsStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical analysis and turbomachinery design.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.Solid and proven experience in mechanical analysis and design, with a focus on turbomachinery components, or complex componentsProficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Hypermesh, Nastran, Lifing tools, Matlab or similar tools.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics and thermal analysis.Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA) and familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
