Discover more about Milliken’s curious minds and inspired solutions at and on , , and .Milliken Chemical is currently looking for a TS&D Engineer Plastic Additives (Middle East and Africa Region), remote location in the Middle East.This position falls within Milliken’s Plastic Additives business. The Plastic Additives business is a global business with sales and technical service across the globe. We are a manufacturer of performance additives for mainly polyolefins and colorants for a variety of plastics. Our focus is to increase the market of polyolefin usage by driving towards more sustainable solutions.FunctionAs a member of the technical team, reporting to our EMEA Technical Manager, your role is to provide high quality technical service and development support to our key customers in the polyolefin manufacturing and plastics processing industry. Your industry knowledge and product line expertise in plastics formulations and applications allows you to qualify our customers’ needs and to solve issues in order to further grow and develop our additives in existing and new applications. Building strong technical relationships with our customers and independent institutes is key to your success.

Profile

• Masters degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent. A PhD is an asset
• Work experience in the plastics industry, ideally more than 3 years in the polyolefin industry (plant engineer, TS&D engineer, plastic additives, …) or plastics processing industry (compounding or application specific experience)
• Analytical & problem solving mindset
• Strong drive, initiative and ownership
• Strong communication & team skills
• Commercial acumen
• Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 40%)
• Languages: very fluent in English and Arabic. Other languages are a plus.
