Group (GT) Treasury is looking for a Treasury analyst for the Balance Sheet Management (BSM) team, located in Amsterdam. Over the last decade, the financial sector has received much attention. The primary responsibilities of GT include managing the Bank’s capital, funding & liquidity and its interest rate risk profile next to the management of ING’s investment portfolio. GT also provides strategic advice on all capital and balance sheet management related topics primarily focussing on the bank’s capital and funding & liquidity position. GT’s culture highly values Orange Code thinking and behaviour and embraces diversity to ensure a more dynamic, well balanced work environment.Your role would be to become part of the central BSM team (9 FTE) in Amsterdam that is responsible for preparing balance sheet analyses focused on monitoring and analyzing the developments in the commercial activities of the bank. For these analyses, the team takes into account the markets it operates in and the continuously changing regulations the bank faces. Using the acquired knowledge and insights, you also prepare advice for senior management including the Managing Board of the bank to help steer the bank’s balance sheet. You work closely with the other functions within Group Treasury as well as Commercial Business lines, Finance and Risk.Roles and responsibilitiesILAAP co-ordination including the preparation of the yearly and quarterly Liquidity Adequacy Statements discussed with senior management and the supervisor, improving the content and process of our yearly ILAAP submission to the ECB and realise different projects identified in the ILAAP improvement plan (and come up with your own topics to further improve).

Prepare in-depth balance sheet analyses to facilitate (i) the quarterly balance sheet dialogue with the MBB, (ii) balance sheet dialogues between country and central senior management. Support and execute other (ad-hoc) activities, including preparation of requests from senior management and regulators.Interpret developments in the field of financial markets, rating agencies, central banks and regulators but also all other important developments that can impact the bank’s scarce funding resources.Being the liaison for balance sheet management related matters for one or more countries.How to succeedWe hire smart people like you for your potential.
