Role location: Zaventem, Belgium (hybrid working)

We are now looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our EMEA Freight, Customs & Trade Compliance team in Zaventem, Belgium. In this role you will be monitoring the successful day-to-day execution of transport activities across the EMEA region, and act as the point of contact for all transport-related matters. You will create analytical assessments of transport volumes, cost and performance and resolve freight invoices issues payable by the EMEA team.

You’ll step into a key role ensuring our shipments across EMEA run smoothly every single day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily operational follow-up of the shipping activities from the key regional facilities
  • Coordinate with carriers like DHL, DSV, FedEx, and others to prevent and resolve delays
  • Support claim submissions to logistics providers and customer complaints handling related to transport
  • Act as the Point of Contact for the regional Customer Services team for transport-related matters, helping to solve en-route issues by liaising with Hologic’s transport providers
  • Act as the Point of Contact for Hologic’s Freight Bill Audit & Payment (FBA&P) supplier for day-to-day queries
  • Support regional colleagues in the placing of transport bookings for non-regular business, such as return shipments, export shipments, internal orders
  • Perform regular analysis of transport data
  • Create accurate and detailed volume, spend and performances analyses for the EMEA business (KPIs)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Educational background or relevant experience in logistics
  • Experience in forwarding, working in/with transport companies, and their base operations
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to produce clear reports
  • Knowledge of MS office, including Excel
  • Good general knowledge of the logistics industry, including incoterms
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • A team player who is willing to support their colleagues where required
