At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.At Smith+Nephew we are looking for: Translation Specialist with German.As a Translation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high quality translations for a variety of internal stakeholders. This includes receiving the translation requests through a ticketing system, managing the project assets and preparing them for translation, machine translation post-editing, and finally, proofreading and reconstructing the asset files in the target language. With a wide range of assets in scope there is a strong need for continuous learning and adaptation.What will you be doing?Performing translation or post-editing of a variety of content types, including medical, training, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materialsFamiliarizing oneself with company products and published materials, including research into terminology specific to medical industryLeveraging and expanding provided glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency and high quality of serviceCollaborating with Translation Team colleagues sharing knowledge, propose solutions and support one anotherCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders to satisfy translation requirements and provide revisionsManaging and juggling conflicting priorities to ensure continuous delivery of translated content in a timely mannerWhat will you need to be successful?2 years professional experience as a translator, post-editor or similar positionExperience in medical industry related corporate environment is a strong assetFluent German – C2 or nativeStrong English language skills – B2/C1 or above

Fluency in a third language (B2) is a highly valued assetGood knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite especially Word, Power Point, some ExcelYou.
