The role

The Training Equipment Assets Manager main duties will comprise of the following:

  • Leading a small team of equipment administrators

  • The Asset Manager will be responsible for a number of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across multiple RN sites

  • Maintaining accurate records of training equipment to inform the GFA holder,

  • Attendance at relevant meetings

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of training equipment assets across the Selborne Estates

  • Provide regular reports on asset utilisation, maintenance schedules, and any issues related to training equipment

  • Conduct Training Equipment Audits as required

  • Work closely with other Key Stakeholders teams to ensure seamless integration of training equipment into educational programs

  • Develop, and Implement updates to the Asset Database

  • Oversee the population and ongoing maintenance of the Asset Database

  • Manage data quality and ensure data governance

  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor assets and identify improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate with teams and the business to ensure effective asset management throughout the life of the contract

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance protocols, and relevant regulations

  • Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement’

  • Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service in the management of assets

Essential:

  • Managing large amounts of assets

  • Dealing with difficult/unusual requests

  • Managing a team

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

Desirable:

  • Management of Government Assets including alignment with the relevant DefStans and JSP’s

  • Working within MoD contracts

  • Risk management

  • Financial analysis

  • Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Diploma or working towards qualification.

  • Some familiarity with training equipment used in military or educational settings
