Our impressive track record speaks for itself and our long-serving staff are hardworking, dedicated, feel valued and consider the College to be an amazing place to work.Trainee Teacher in Maths, Computing, Computing/IT, Business, Other (Full or Part Time, Fixed Term Contract until July 2026)This is a full or part-time split role, which includes a combination of actual teaching, teacher training, shadowing and support staff duties.The role will include being an Academic Improvement Mentor or if the successful candidate is internal, it may be compatible with their current support staff role on a part time basis.The successful candidate would need to undertake an apprenticeship programme with the College which includes completing the Level 5 -Diploma in Education and Training (two-year programme) and the Level 5 – Learning and Skills Teacher (18 months plus an End Point Assessment). This will be completed at Milton Keynes College for one evening per week, currently Tuesday, but this may be subject to change.Teaching – Salary Sixth Form Colleges’ Teaching Spine Point 1 £30,500 pro rated for part time hours.Academic Improvement Mentor – Salary Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Spine Point 14 £22,011 pro rated for part time hours and 37 weeks per yearFor example (based on working 37 weeks per year):15 hours per week – annual pro rated salary £7,276 20 hours per week – annual pro rated salary £9,700Start date: 27th August 2024Closing date for all completed application forms: Monday 29th April 2024Please note that the College requires candidates wishing to be considered for employment to complete an application form via the My New Term website.
