Are you interested in helping shape the strategic direction for high volume manufacturing of new medical devices in internal production? Do you have a strong background in tooling for injection moulding, automation for decoration and/or assembly, or do you have extensive experience with assembly processes?We are looking for both junior and senior specialists that are passionate about building a strong team around NPI and operational excellence in our newly established “new product introduction” (NPI) team in device component manufacturing (DCM). Apply today and help us shape the future for DCM.The positionsWe are looking for three different device specialists: one within tooling, one within automation of injection moulding machines (robotics, decoration, machine vision), and lastly one within assembly processes.In your respective area of expertise, you will be responsible for driving the NPI agenda in DCM. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external, with your main collaborators being our development partners in FPMSAT and DDS as well as with our production shopfloor. You will also have a close link to the senior leadership team as you will be part of exploring different scenarios for NPI.Your areas of responsibilities will cover:

  • Driving introduction of new components, new variants, new devices, and new technical concepts in high volume operations.
  • Initiate and drive investigations of shopfloor feasibility for NPI, to determine the optimal split between operational readiness and operational excellence for DCM.
  • Drive ramp-up of new concepts and larger optimizations.
  • Responsibility for engaging with development (FPMSAT and DDS) in design for manufacturing and assembly activities as well as product maintenance committee activities.

You will join a team of device manufacturing specialists, reporting directly to the director for the area within an organization located in the beautiful surroundings of Hillerød, in Device Components Manufacturing (DCM) unit. The Hillerød site is responsible for developing and manufacturing prefilled and durable medical devices used by millions of Novo Nordisk patients all over the world.This is an exciting job in an open and dynamic work environment with good opportunities for professional and personal development where we emphasize collaboration, optimism, well-being, humour and commitment.QualificationsTo succeed in this position, you should have:

  • A relevant academic degree within (system/process/production) engineering combined with extensive experience working in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry under GMP requirements.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the either tooling, automation or assembly of polymer components in a production or manufacturing development environment.
  • Experience working within project organizations either as a project member or as a project manager.
  • Experience with validation and testing in a GMP environment (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English. The capacity to communicate and understand Danish is an advantage.

It is highly advantageous:

  • Hands-on experience on shopfloor working within one or more of the three expertise areas (tooling, automation, or assembly).
  • Broad knowledge of internal processes and requirements in finished product manufacturing.

On a professional level you have a high degree of independence and a natural talent for gathering and communicating relevant information through and to your stakeholders, working cross-functionally and building relations at all organizational levels.You influence business objectives and strategic projects to reflect the needs of production, while collaborating with colleagues on all different levels. You thrive in being part of a team and project and can design and follow through clear plans and timelines. Lastly, it is essential that you are curious to understand and gain energy by going on the shopfloor and interact with production.

As a person, you are ambitious, structured and have a passion for device manufacturing. You need to be able to approach tasks with a positive attitude, consider multiple perspectives and deliver high-quality results.
