ROLE:Tool Design Engineer
LOCATION: Papendrecht, Netherlands
SALARY: Up to 72K Euros
DURATION: 1 year rolling contract
Job Responsibilities:
•Tooling Design & Development: Design and develop aerospace fixtures, jigs, hoisting equipment, and assembly aids for machining and production.
•Team Collaboration: Work with engineers and operators to create custom tooling solutions.
•Tooling Optimization: Improve tools for better quality, usability, and manufacturability, ensuring compliance with safety and ergonomic standards.
•Supplier Coordination: Prepare technical packages for RFQs and work with suppliers to ensure precision.
•Maintenance Oversight: Manage inspection, repair, and maintenance of fixtures.
•Process Ownership: Oversee tooling processes and ensure proper documentation.
•Data Integration: Migrate tooling data from legacy to modern systems.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in tool design (aerospace or automotive).
•Experience with CATIA V5 (preferred).
•Knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing methods.
•Proficient in GD&T (ISO/ASME).
•Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
•Fluent in English (CEFR level C2); basic Dutch is a plus.
