JOB DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of our Structural Heart business is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
We currently have an opportunity for a highly clinical Therapy Specialist who will be primarily responsible for providing clinical case coverage of our Transcatheter Edge to Edge Repair (TEER technologies) in the North of the UK. You will train healthcare professional on the use of TEER products and provide technical support to physicians during procedures.
What you’ll do:
- You will provide technical support and demonstrate procedural steps to clinicians/physicians during TEER procedures to an expert level
Collaborate to provide good clinical outcomes for the patients
- Be conversant in all aspects of Abbott TEER and to be able to effectively communicate the rationale of using Abbott TEER technology in all applications
- Ownership of planning and training as required for new product launches within designated territory
- Maintains expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in product expertise that goes beyond features and benefits, focusing also on design, development, clinical application and competitive positioning.
- Ability to operate with both clinical and commercial customers and to understand the following; trends in heart disease management therapies, local market dynamics in terms of political influences, healthcare budgets and re-imbursement policies, local ABT opportunities and threats etc.
What you’ll need:
BS/BA (or similar) in life sciences or marketing
Prior clinical experience in NHS or industry
Strong clinical orientation: training clinicians and providing technical assistance during procedures, including troubleshooting
Strong analytical skills: able to identify and resolve issues and to adapt best practices across institutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: to build relationships and obtain results
Ability to work in a team environment, a strong teamplayer.
