It facilitates co-operation among countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures to seek excellence in nuclear safety, technology, science, related environmental and economic matters and law. The mission of the NEA is to assist its 34 member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co-operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It strives to provide authoritative assessments and to forge common understandings on key issues as input to government decisions on nuclear technology policies.The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal and external clients, with a specific emphasis on Microsoft cloud solutions and Microsoft Windows Server. This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows and other Microsoft cloud services, supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.Job DescriptionMain ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will work in the NEA IT team and be responsible for working with staff across the NEA to provide technical assistance.
- Offer prompt and effective technical assistance to customers through various channels such as phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
- .Provide Level 2 support for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, including Windows Server environments.
- Support and maintain IT infrastructure, including Azure Active Directory, Intune, and related Microsoft cloud services.
- Perform software installations, updates, and patches for Microsoft products and services.
- Assist in the management of user accounts and permissions within Azure Active Directory and other Microsoft systems.
- Collaborate with Level 1 support staff to ensure timely resolution of issues and escalate complex problems to Level 3 support or other specialized teams as needed.
- Document and track all support requests and resolutions using the company’s ticketing system.
- Conduct regular system and network monitoring to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
- Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of Microsoft cloud services.
- Participate in the deployment and support of new Microsoft technologies and projects as required.
QualificationsAcademic and Professional Background
- Associate or undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in an IT support role, with at least 1 year in Level 2 support focusing on Microsoft cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and Azure services.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting, including knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Intune.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) would be an advantage.

Contract Duration
- One year (with the possibility of renewal up to 2 years)
Salary Information:
- T3 bracket/1: 2880 EUR/month
