Are you an enthusiastic textiles teacher looking to inspire creativity in students? We are seeking a dedicated textiles teacher to join our school in Sandwell, starting January 2025. As a textiles teacher, you’ll teach KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of extending your role to KS5 to challenge students with more advanced textiles projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging lessons as a textiles teacher, teaching students at KS3 and KS4 how to explore different textiles techniques and designs.
- Guide KS5 students in creating advanced textile projects, helping them refine their technical skills and creativity.
- Monitor and assess student progress as a textiles teacher, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continually develop the textiles curriculum, bringing new ideas and innovations as a textiles teacher.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in the textiles field, enriching your lessons as a textiles teacher.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Textiles or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience as a textiles teacher at the secondary level.
- A commitment to fostering creativity and design skills in students.
