Electrical and Electronic Test Technician

We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical/Electronic Test Technician to join our team. As a Test Technician, you will conduct tests, troubleshoot, and ensure the quality and functionality of electronic components and systems. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of our products. We are seeking someone to help drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional and performance tests on electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products.

  • Set up and operate test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies.

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and execute test procedures for testing sub-assemblies, products, and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to circuitry, wiring, and electronic components.

  • Record test results and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Identify defects, analyze root causes, and propose corrective actions.

  • Assist in designing and developing test fixtures, including test jigs, fixtures and platforms, to enable functional testing of PCBAs, sub-assemblies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes.

  • Assist in performing Customer Factory Witness tests.

  • Able to troubleshoot products to component level using Engineering specifications, schematics, and product specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (minimum HND/HNC) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical/Electronic Test Technician testing electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment and root cause fault finding on electronic PCBA’s to component level.

  • Knowledge of electronic measurement equipment especially in power electronics (i.e., DMM) and the analog signal domain (i.e., Oscilloscope).

  • Proficiency in using electronic test equipment and tools.

  • Familiarity with circuit analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices.
