Job Duties

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Under general supervision, test new and used equipment including seals, motors and pumps, identify problems and communicate issues to the testing manager.
-This position will train new Test Shop Operators.
-Perform initial maintenance checks through appropriate processes.
-Must understand all lines (and brands) of equipment (motors, seals, or pumps), using proper processes and procedures.
-Through experience, looks for repeatability in successive tests.
-Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
-Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 2+ years of experience.
-Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
-Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
-Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
-The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
-Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
-Basic computer skills are preferred.
