For sure you will be proud of your results at the end of the day!What does a Test & Prototypes Engineer look like?He/she provides the experimental validation of a product, a concept design or a subcomponent, by instrumenting machines, performing experiments, and analyzing the results. He/she generates the data the Project team needs to bring a new applied technology from concept to product.Our Test Engineer’s goal is to ensure that our customers get the features they are willing to pay for. Whenever a shortcoming is found, he/she digs into the problem, troubleshoots, and, together with the design team, proposes and implements modifications.If you join us in this role, you will initiate new projects and follow up existing ones, reporting to the Team Leader Testing and cooperating with the whole engineering team to create an efficient and effective R&D organization.What do we expect from you?You have a Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Energy Engineering or similar and 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a laboratory environment.You are familiar with standard measurement equipment, testing tools and data analysis methodologies (sensors, data acquisition hardware and software etc.). Having some programming skills in Matlab or in any other programming languages and some previous experience with a CAD software is nice to have in this role.You don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty in the laboratory. We believe that those closest to the problem are the closest to the solution.You are able to transform a hypothesis into a test plan. You are thorough and your conclusions are rooted into data.You are curious and full of energy and can’t wait to work together with the Design Team to bring your voice and your ideas to solve the technical challenges of new product development.What else? We need you to be fluent in English and Italian.What will be crucial to have and develop in this role?Knowing how to improve business results, driving change, and making things happen.Capability to display consistency between words and actions, act honestly and directly with people, raising flags when things go wrong to ensure the appropriate action is taken.Ability to drive customer success and demonstrate a genuine interest in accurately understanding and acting on customer needs and expectations.Always acting according to our Safety First policy, preserving your and your colleagues’ health.Passion for sustainability, being an example in following policies and practices as well as honoring agreements and commitments.What will you deal with in this role?Plan, execute and analyze the results of functional and endurance tests of prototypes and of their subcomponents.Write test reports for the engineering team and for the management on the results and knowledge acquired through experiments.Ensuring that all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.Maintaining in good and functional shape the laboratory equipment and tools.With the support of the testing team leader, select, propose, and implement new testing tools and procedures to improve the laboratory capacity, knowledge, and efficiency.What can you expect from us?You will for sure learn a lot and develop yourself even more.
