• They must show demonstrable experience in the acquisition of fellowships and/or research projects.
• They must prove ability in establishing national and international collaborative research networks.
• They must have a strong record of publications and teaching experience in the field of Comparative Literature & Literary Theory (Literatura Comparada i Teoria de la Literatura).

The selected researcher will be expected to:

• Join the faculty team.
• Teach in UPF’s Global Studies and Humanities undergraduate programmes (BA) and, also, in the Department’s MA & Doctoral programmes.
• Participate in the Department’s research activities.
• Hold management positions.

A very good command of English is essential. Good command of three UPF official languages (Catalan, Spanish, English) will be an asset.This position is ruled by the . RESEARCH FIELDComparative Literature & Literary Theory (Literatura Comparada i Teoria de la Literatura).SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• The applicant must hold a PhD in Literature, or Comparative Literature, or Theory of Literature, or Humanities and related fields.
• If the PhD was issued by UPF, the applicant will need to have been contractually separated from the institution for at least two years since earning the PhD.
• Languages: A very good command of English is essential. Good command of three UPF official languages (Catalan, Spanish, English) will be an asset.
• Although they are not requirements, they will be positively valued as merits: 1) demonstrated research in one or more of the following fields: 1a) connections between literature and the visual arts; 1b) literary theory; 1c) European literature from the Middle Ages to the present; and 2) the ability to teach in Catalan, Spanish and English.

BENEFITSSalary (per year): 45.640,76 €The position involves a five-year fixed-term contract. One year before the contract expires, the Tenure-Track researcher will be assessed by a Department’s Committee. The outcome will determine whether the Tenure Track researcher is recommended to stay in the position as a permanent researcher or whether the contract will be terminated at the end of the fifth year.SELECTION PROCESSDocumentationApplicants should provide:
