This position gives you the opportunity to enhance, optimize and improve an already great tender process to be best in class in Belgium & Luxemburg. Tenders, Contracts & Pricing works cross-functionally to realize Stryker commercial and corporate goals. This small team is comprised of individuals with diverse expertise but a common passion to drive Stryker’s agenda inside and outside of the organization within an extremely busy and deadline focused environment.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Full accountability in managing the preparation and submission of Tender documentation, instilling a proactive approach to new submissions through strong collaborative communication with the Sales/marketing team.
- Full accountability in managing the preparation of contracts resulting from the business won from the submission of Tenders.
- Respond to on-going internal and external customer enquiries regarding contracts and pricing.
- Manage the special pricing deals set up for customers.
- Further define and improve upon the existing Tender and contracting processes to increase process efficiencies and output effectiveness.
- Support with collection of information for business case analysis on offers and tenders.
- Discount calculations based on tender obligations. Adapted to the different countries defined needs.
- Follow up, analyze and investigate different request from local business and key stake holders.
- Drive End-to-End contracting process.
Duties to include:
- Respond to published Public and Private tenders and apply for full texts which are to be completed in a timely manner and prior to closing date.
- Loading tender pricing once received award notification – amending any special pricing already on system.
- Responding to internal and external customer queries around pricing and statistics.
- Actively seek ways to improve the department and the efficiency of processes through close collaboration with cross-functional Stryker Leaders; Marketing Managers, Business Unit Directors and National sales managers & Technical service manager to create effective and persuasive materials.
- Support with contract monitoring.
- Client liaison, gaining intelligence of forthcoming bids.
- Maintain accurate records and files (manual & electronic) of all the tender data (i.e. correspondence, quotations, internal input, etc.).
- Maintain accurate lessons, win/loss reports and analysis for each bid.
- Comply with company & local standards, procedures & protocols with specific responsibility for performance to KPIs.
- Continued activity and responsibility to raise the standard and quality of bids to increase bid win ration.
Education
- Bachelors or Masters level degree.
- Fluent spoken and written Dutch, French and English.
Experience
- Min 2 years of related work experience in public Tender work or other relevant position, for example, purchaser in Public sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of public (and private) sector bid requirements.
- Experience from; Medical Technology, Medical device or healthcare sector is preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-international business environment is preferred.
- Experience working with Sales & Key Account Management is preferred.
- Adequate IT Knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office, Oracle and Power BI).
Travel Percentage: 10%
