If so, this position offers you a unique opportunity to support the NATO CIS Group mission at SHAPE.POST CONTEXT:The J2/6 Division is the technical coordination authority for Deployable Communication Information Systems and is responsible for the operational integration, coordination, direction and provision of required technical services for the NATO Communications Information Systems Group and NATO Signal Battalions.The incumbent is responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise to NCISG on all issues regarding Construction and Industrial Security for ongoing construction projects.Principal Duties1. Participate in all current NCISG wide infrastructure projects from the start of the project to follow the ‘Security by Design’ concept.2. Introduce security considerations on how the delivered construction works shall be operated and maintained such that there is a continuity of security from design and construction phase, through delivery, to operation.3. Provide security Final Acceptance Test/Evaluation for each current NCISG construction project.4. Conduct regular security coordination meetings during the construction phase to ensure that there is a common understanding of all security requirements in order to limit the risk of security becoming the identified cause of construction delays, cost issues, and required design or work execution modifications.5. Supervise that all current NCISG projects for buildings and installations:a. Are established in compliance with NATO physical security requirements, tested and accepted.b. Protect NATO Classified Information (NCI) in accordance with NATO security of information requirements.c. Use security accredited CIS.d. Employ staff who are security cleared in accordance with NATO personnel security requirements.e. Are protected by an established NATO security organization and Force Protection.f. Are protected by security plans and procedures established and approved by a relevant ACO/NCISG component security authority consistent with NATO protective security requirements.6. Follow and enhance Industrial security as the application of protective measures and procedures to prevent, detect and recover from loss or compromise of NATO Classified Information (NCI) is handled by industry in contracts.7. Ensure that projects secure goals are met and plans are on track.8. Ensure security risks are identified, questioned, and required mitigation steps are executed for each construction project.9. Participates in reviews within the projects lifecycle; security protection solutions definition, construction, commissioning and handovers phases.Special Requirements and Additional DutiesThe employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organisation at the same grade without there being any change to the contract.Mandatory Deployment Post. The incumbent may be required to undertake deployments in support of military operations and exercises, and/or TDY assignments, both within and outside NATO boundaries. Such operational deployment may exceed 30 days duration up to 183 days in any period of 547 days and may be on short notice.Essential Qualificationsa. Professional Experience1. Experience of 5 years in Facility design, Physical security, and Construction security.2. Post graduate courses or certifications in security management.b. Education/TrainingUniversity Degree and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.c. LanguageEnglish – SLP 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).Desirable Qualificationsa. Professional Experience1. Security Management2. Security Audit3. • Personal Attributes: Possesses excellent knowledge and advanced thinking in security facility design as well as operational requirements in support of NATO risk management

This position should be very sensitive to the emergence of problems, self-starts required activities based on creative thinking, conceptual foresight and sound independent judgement. The incumbent must be able to keep high level of performance even under pressure. Possesses very good communication skills to negotiate with host nations, and contracted companies in order to convince others in meetings and conferences. Able to plan and organize an effective and efficient course of action including thorough analysis of complex projects information.

• Professional Contacts: – Regular professional contacts with others inside and/or outside immediate organisation on functional matters. Solicits/gives information and provides advice/guidance.

• Contribution to Objectives: – The work involves the analysis and research of a complete task with recommendations affecting the plans and management of the organisational element.

ContractWHAT WE OFFER– 38 hours per week schedule;– 2.5 paid days of leave per month worked;– Fulfilling working atmosphere in an international and military community;– Contract period: definite duration contract until 31/12/2024;– Salary: the remuneration of temporary personnel will be specified in their contracts. It is exempt from taxation in the Host Nation;– Benefits package: temporary personnel are covered by a benefits package which consists of an additional sum of 12% of basic salary for pension purposes + basic medical and accident insurance provided under the NATO Group insurance contract (death and invalidity).
