CNIC has been conceived to develop research of excellence, competitive and of international relevance in relation to cardiovascular diseases. The CNIC has a research center of 24,000 m2, located in Madrid, with more than 6,000 m2 for laboratories equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment.Funciones:Work on the research project entitled ‘Proteomics-based Post-translational regulation mechanisms in Cardiovascular Diseases (PostCarD)’ within the framework of a ‘Atracción de Talento’ Grant (Exp.: 2023-T1/SAL-GL-28990) funded by the ‘César Nombela’ Research Talent Attraction Grant of the Community of Madrid, in the following functions:

  • Preparation of samples for proteomic analysis (lysis and extraction of proteins, enzymatic digestion of proteins, isobaric labelling, subcellular fractionation).
  • Routine maintenance and quality control of HPLC equipment coupled to MS.
  • Maintenance of primary cell cultures and cell lines.
  • Maintenance of reagent stocks and preparation of aliquots and buffers.

Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences Education Level UndergraduateSkills/QualificationsRequerimientos imprescindibles: * Hold an intermediate or higher Professional Training qualification in the field of chemistry or chemical, clinical or biomedical laboratories.In the case of being in possession of a foreign academic qualification, they must have the corresponding credential of homologation to the equivalent qualification in Spain, issued by the competent body for the recognition of foreign educational qualifications and diplomas in the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. * At least 2 years’ experience in research laboratories, if the qualification is a Higher Level Professional Training qualification, and 5 years’ experience if the qualification is an Intermediate Level Professional Training qualification.Specific RequirementsRequerimientos valorables:

  • C1. Expertise in sample preparation for proteomics by FASP and PAC technique.
  • C2. Experience in handling mass spectrometers with Orbitrap type analyser, as well as Evosep type HPLC equipment.
  • C3. Experience in cell culture and other molecular biology techniques.
  • C4. Interview.

Interview. 20%Selection processPlan de selección:The RESOLUTION OF THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR PUBLIC FUNCTION APPROVING THE COMMON ACTION CRITERIA FOR THE RECRUITMENT PROCESSES IN THE STATE PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES of April 11, 2022, set forth in point 6.1 that “Unless a specific regulation establishes a merit-bases recruitment system (concurso), the competition (concurso-oposición) must be the recruitment system”In CNIC, the specific regulations approved by the Foundation’s board of trustees establish a merit-base recruitment system (concurso) including a personal interview.At least the 3 candidates with the highest score, as long as they reach the minimum of 60 points as a sum of criteria (C1-C3) will be interviewed.
