Job description

SEK Catalunya needs to incorporate a DP Technology and Maths Teacher for 2024-2025 academic year.MISSION:Guide students in developing design skills and creative thinking, as well as fostering their ability to solve problems innovatively. Be an expert in the following areas related to the design process (theory of design, practical design, and design in context): Food science and technology, electronic product design, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), textiles, and ergonomic design.FUNCTIONS:

• Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning meetings to design effective teaching and assessment strategies.
• Develop and implement the teaching plans for subjects, sessions, and other areas of the department.
• Use the MYP design cycle (Investigate, Plan, Create, Evaluate, and Reflect) as a fundamental tool in the design process for this subject.
• Participate in the standardization of assessment tasks to ensure consistency and fairness in student evaluation.
• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement by providing ideas and resources to enhance the student learning experience.
• Stay updated on the IB program guides being taught.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering.
• Master in Teaching
• Teaching experience, preferably in one of the IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of of Design, Technology, and/or Mathematics.
• Native or near native speaker English level.
• Speaking Spanish and Catalan will be valued.
• Microsoft Office user.
• Experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and promote such tools with the team will be appreciated.

• Schedule: 9:30 – 17:10 h.
