Job SummaryYou will work in one of the largest travel-technology companies in the tourism sector with a highly complex and broad technology stack which supports a wide variety of operations. Our traffic and transactionality can reach more than 50.000 requests per second, with critical functions required to be process in less than 1 second worldwide. These functions and more support a wide variety of business functions such as hotels, activities and cruises searches bookings, modification, and cancellations, as well as all of the internal operations and financial handling of these offerings. The company is fully hybrid/multi-cloud in terms of the underlying infrastructure and network topology, with workloads running in AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud as well on our managed private cloud and traditional on-premise set ups.Job Responsibilities
- You will be responsible of developing customer-driven automations in a X as a Service manner.
- You will be a key piece of the Platform as a Service that will be used as interface between our software engineers and the platform.
- You must train all the platform teams and support them in the SRE practices and integrate, monitor the different service levels, and error budgets. Ensure enough monitoring using Chaos Monkey. Improve velocity by eliminating toil.
- You will create a SRE community to give common practices to the entire company. Embracing risk, simplification, standardization, and data decision making are the drivers
- You will analyze and create the proper solution using the proper tools or developing it, always with no-silo mentality
Required Experience and Skillset
- Previous experience as SRE, creating software based tooling in operational side (Platform as a Service), and creating cloud native solutions with a multicloud approach.
- If you are Software Engineer: Previous experience of back-end solution delivery. This includes high coding skills, microservices patterns, and distributed systems. You want to get experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- If you are Cloud Engineer: Experience with automations like terraform, ansible, chef, puppet. Skills with many Operating Systems. You want to develop solutions in Java, Python and Go
- Having a DevSecOps culture, from a practical perspective. You have the Automated testing in your veins
- Experience of the configuration and on-going management of Monitoring and Alerting tools.
- Working in a data-driven environment with a focus on measuring success
- Work with agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Self-management: You will need to balance your operational work from your engineering work
- Experience within an architecture function
- Great problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Advanced English is a must
