Your Department

To strengthen out Device Team, we are looking for an experienced Device Engineer with Logic and non-FET experience to support our activities in the device technology development department in Fab1 Dresden/Germany. You will be a member of a highly skilled team working in an international environment on advanced device technology development and optimization of existing active and passive devices. The task of the team is to define, develop and implement new logic devices, device improvements as well as maintain established active and passive devices in leading-edge CMOS technologies in agreement with customers’ needs. Additionally, variability and reliability must be monitored and controlled to ensure manufacturability.

Your Job

  • Identify active and passive device improvement opportunities and work with FEoL Integration to implement with customer needs

  • Identify and coordinate logic, I/O and non-FET related pre-requisites e.g. test structure implementation and measurement capabilities to support the respective development and engineering activities

  • Define logic and non-FET device test structures and test conditions, which are needed to analyze/understand phenomena’s, which limit desired specifications

  • Logic, I/O and non-FET device related model to hardware correlation and interlock with spice modeling team

  • Interface to platform teams on regular bases for updates and alignments

  • Design of experiments dedicated to the continuous active and passive device development for leading-edge CMOS technologies

  • Analyze electrical characteristics of logic, I/O transistors & passive devices such as resistors, varactors, inductors, etc. and draw clear conclusions

  • Drive the implementation of respective architectures and optimized processes

  • Communicate effectively internally as well as with customers within technical and executive forums.

    Required Qualifications

  • Having gained a Master’s Degree in Physics/Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Material Science and or PhD, preferably you have 7 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry and would like to make the next step in your career.

  • You are passionate about next-generation semiconductor technologies and seek for a challenging task in the field of FDSOI, RF, analog/mixed signal and HV as well as BCD device development.

  • Your extensive knowledge of transistor physics and fabrication allows you to make smart decisions to actively contribute to technology improvements in agreement with customers’ needs.

  • Preferably, you also have some experience in BCD, PDK, PCRB, MRB, FMEA, project management and compact modeling of semiconductor devices.

  • We are looking for a team player with strong communication skills who can efficiently exchange ideas and share results within and between teams with different technical background.

  • We expect competence in both, written and spoken English as well as solid knowledge in use of standard office software (Excel/PowerPoint).
