Taylor Hopkinson has been exclusively retained to source a Technician Resource Manager for an exciting opportunity with a leading renewable energy company. Our client is looking for someone who is responsible for central planning and the recruitment of new technicians to support projects and commercial opportunities, collaborating with over with other offices across the globe. This is a full-time, hybrid position in Bydgoszcz, Poland.This role also encompasses overseeing the management of HR departmental responsibilities for technicians, driving the growth of the permanent technician headcount, and collaborating with the global mobility team for technician assignments. The incumbent ensures consistent planning and service delivery in accordance with commercial and project requirements, including in technical capacity, HSE, budget, quality, and customer specific needs.The Responsibilities:Central Planning:

  • Oversee, plan, and allocate the mobilisation of technicians for projects.
  • Establish project details and manage resource requirements in relevant systems.
  • Ensure cost-efficient master capacity and operational planning of resources based on capacity and demand, technical specifications, and stakeholder interaction.
  • Build the load/capacity plan, identify gaps based on future and forecasted needs, and manage timely demobilisation.

Technician Sourcing:

  • Lead the sourcing department, collaborating with the Team Lead in recruiting new technicians to support ongoing and future projects.
  • Liaise with the Commercial Team to forecast utilisation, offer technician profiles, and support with recruitment needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations teams to meet upcoming resource requirements.

Technician HR:

  • Manage all technician HR responsibilities, including employee relations, performance management, and personal development.
  • Drive the growth of the permanent technician headcount through strategic hiring and retention initiatives to agreed target numbers.

Global Mobility:

  • Work with the global mobility team to manage international technician assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with global mobility policies and procedures.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive operational process excellence and performance within your area of responsibility.
  • Manage changes in scope, balance capacity and demand, and solve challenges
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of planning, including risks, opportunities, resource impacts, and technician movement.
  • Ensure continuous development and improvement of processes, tools, and systems.
  • Increase transparency across the organisation.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant commercial, technical, or academic field.
  • Extensive experience with manpower or logistics planning, preferably in the wind industry or energy sector.
  • Understanding of wind industry
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is desirable.
