We improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Our project “Functional Mitochondrial Diagnostics” aims to develop protocols and quality management for high-resolution respirometry measurements as a diagnostic service.

In your role as Technician you will collaborate closely with Oroboros Instruments GmbH. 1 Technician mitochondrial diagnostics (m/f/d) FULL TIME

Responsibilities:

* Respirometry measurements with HEK293 T cells and PBMCs by high-resolution respirometry

* Analytical measurements on biological samples: Cell count, protein content, spectrophotometric determination of enzyme activities

* Application, evaluation and development of protocols, software testing

* Data analysis

* Cell culture and sample preparation, production of buffers, chemicals and media

* Quality Control of instruments

* Ordering and stock maintenance

* Maintaining equipment records and work logs

Requirements:

* Completed training as lab technician or alternatively completed a university degree in biological sciences with lab experience

* Open-minded, creative and motivated personality with a proactive approach

* Flexibility & willingness to occasionally work weekends (compensated) when required

* Strong organizational and communication skills

* Self-reliant & attention to detail and careful working method

* Excellent interpersonal skills & Teamwork

* Proficiency in English
