The Technician II performs the standard tasks in the oligonucleotides production process, within the assigned Value Stream and process step. This can include the synthesis, cleavage from the solid support, deprotection, desalting, purification, quantification, QC sampling, Chemical Mixing and/or final processing of oligonucleotides.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform the synthesis, cleavage from the solid support, deprotection, desalting, purification, quantification, QC sampling, Chemical Mixing and/or final processing of oligonucleotides.

• Operate DNA/RNA synthesizers, HPLC’s and/or other instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks listed above.

• Perform calibration, maintenance, cleaning tasks on designated equipment as scheduled or requested.

• Keep all the reagent bottles, pressurized gas cylinders and manifold liquid systems at levels to achieve successful operation.

• Change waste containers and dispose of waste material.

  The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school degree required (preferred in science related field) or Bachelor’s degree in Science related field preferred or equivalent job experience.

• Preferred 0-2 years of working experience.

• Fluency in Dutch and proficient in English, or fluent in English.

• Proficient computer skills which includes knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
