We aim to inspire young people to engage with science and engineering through our outreach work.The School is committed to the development of technical staff and The University of York is a signatory of the Technician Commitment. .The role will be the lead Electrical Specialist in the area of Renewable Energy with responsibility for the day to day management of the Renewable Energy Laboratory, as well as assisting in the operation of the Rotational Machines Laboratory by facilitating the running and maintenance of a wide range of equipment.Other activities include undertaking the design, development, construction and modifications to a wide variety of standard and specialised equipment and also includes schematic capture and PCB layouts, 3D CAD modelling, 3D printing, equipment repairs and providing advice on electrical/electronic issues.
