Here at the Mick George Group we are hiring a Technical Waste Assessor. This role will give  the successful candidate the potential to build on their skills and learn the business with the opportunity to develop.

Salary: From £27,000 – £32,000 Depending on experience. 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

A typical day in the life of a Technical Sales Assessor:

  • Assessing all waste enquiries generated by the sales team or direct enquiries using the current EA technical guidance document WM3.

  • Ensuring compliance of all waste assessments with current legislation, relevant permits, licences, and exemptions.

  • Liaising with internal and external laboratories where sample analysis is required.

  • Ensuring that all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) are identified are dealt with passed to the originator of the enquiry in a timely manner.

  • Liaising with customers, operations, compliance, customer services and sales to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Working with operations for off-site disposal.

  • Ensuring all clients requests are acted upon promptly and efficiently.

  • Answering all telephone calls promptly.

  • To be diligent and respect the confidentiality of the information to which they are party.

  • General administration as and when required.

  • Assisting in Duty of Care audits for existing and new customers.

  • Maintaining effective record keeping and documentation to accepted/approved methods and procedures.

  • Generating compliant Waste Transfer Notes and consignment notes.

  • Ensuring the Head of Waste Compliance is properly updated of any issues arising and provided with regular general updates.

  • Good communicator both verbally and via email.

  • Ability to work in faced paced environment.

  • Working understanding of how to apply WM3.

    Desirable:

  • In depth understanding of technical / chemical waste analysis.

  • Working understanding of how to apply WM3.
