Mission Details
The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) has the primary responsibility to lead and manage accounts across the designated region, either directly or through distributors. The job holder is expected to grow and retain Arkema’s market share and customer base within the Italian market and achieve profitable sales targets. The TSM must possess the business and technical awareness to influence and gain customer alignment with both external and internal decision makers. He or she will act as a consultant to the client, both commercial and technical, in order to develop an understanding of industry trends, and market forces affecting the business and product needs.
Required Profile
– Active in the Italian market to maintain and to develop accounts either directly or through distributors, also by providing technical support.
– Ensure that sales revenue and targets are achieved.
– Be an active partner in the development of account plans at important customers (trials, training, complaint/claim investigations)
– Be a key player in driving innovation by identifying new products and services opportunities;
– Be a key partner in the launch program and the roll out of the new products, as well as in the diffusion of the existing ones, by training the customers and the distributors;
– Work closely with R&D on product application, Product Line Managers and Marketing to empower technology push, to support product line strategy, to report about market trend and to participate to regular meetings
– Be part of the study in the current product range to define the real product potential and to allow a large spray out
– Lead specific application projects involving internal and external resources
– Study and suggest all investments which have to be done linked to daily technical support investigations.
– Communicate with colleagues as appropriate to coordinate actions on specific accounts
