Job Title: Technical/Proposal Support (France)

Reporting to: Business Development Manager – Europe

Location: The candidate must be located within France

Type of Employment: Full Time, Permanent position (80% Remote, 20% occasional Travel)

The Technical/proposal manager will be responsible for:

-Will be an active player in the deployment Hydro’s strategy around water management.
-Will work in close collaboration within the France team and country partners, to support our water business and end user projects by providing technical assistance on products and solutions. They will also be a preferred contact for customers and partners in pre and after-sales technical discussion.
-Will provide a role of technical advisor and training for country partner sales teams. They can support appointments initiated by traveling salespeople and participate in event and exhibitions.
-Will detect the main calls for tenders, stakeholders and participate in drafting response elements, in conjunction with Hydro sales and marketing teams.

Competence & Qualifications:

-Bac +2; BTS or IUT in civil engineering/water ideally complemented by higher education such as master’s in water management
-Extensive experience with strong technical background in drainage design, water resources, land use planning or similar field.
-Stormwater management or wastewater management experience
-Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and plans
-Able to interpret and execute solution design requirements guided by regulations
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM environment. CAD would be a bonus
-Operational English desired for exchange within Hydro Headquarter and CRH group.
-5 years working industry experience

-Technician to be able to enter specific points of the world of water management, interact with specialists (technical services, design offices) and understand the characteristics of solutions such as those of Hydro.
-Creative – to participate in the evolution of current solutions and the creation of new ones, based on customer feedback, trends or other ideas.
 

Key Duties:

-Will be an active player in the deployment Hydro’s strategy around water management.
-Should target the contacts to be established with relevant principals or influencers of principals. He will work in conjunction with group partners sales department.
-Will organise appointments with representatives of the principals in charge of water management (“core” of the function). As such, it will have to rely on an existing network which it will complete through meetings, participation in trade fairs, conferences and professional associations.
-Will listen to customers to provide global insight into their issues and then establish solution principles to meet their needs and propose complete technical solutions. As a result, he will also be a preferred contact for customers in pre and after-sales technical discussion.
-Will liaise with the sales teams to support by technical end user quote request and their follow-ups.
-Detect the main calls for tenders, stakeholders and participate in drafting response elements in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams.
-Will work in close collaboration within country partners having perfect knowledge of their solutions and relying on their technical skills in product qualification, calculation notes and/or developments.
-Will liaise with the Hydro PD/PM in the case of preliminary water qualification.
-Will provide a role of technical advisor and training for sales teams. It can support appointments initiated by traveling salespeople.
-Will ensure a permanent benchmark of competing solutions present on the market or to come
-Will ensure dynamic market monitoring to identify water management “trends”, regulatory developments.
-Will be a driving force for the innovation of solutions and improvement of specification processes.
-Organise meetings to listen to needs of the customer, help and understand their responsibilities (regulation), highlight solutions and introduce sales team.
-Acquire expertise in Hydro/STRADAL solutions.
-To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO 45001.
-requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001, as appropriate, within the areas of responsibility.

Responsabilité : Le responsable technique/proposition 

• Sera un acteur actif dans le déploiement de la stratégie d’Hydro autour de la gestion de l’eau.

• Travaillera en étroite collaboration au sein de l’équipe France et des partenaires nationaux, pour soutenir notre activité eau et les projets des utilisateurs finaux en fournissant une assistance technique sur les produits et solutions. Ils seront également un interlocuteur privilégié pour les clients et partenaires dans les échanges techniques avant et après-vente.

• Assurera un rôle de conseiller technique et de formation pour les équipes commerciales partenaires. Ils peuvent accompagner les rendez-vous initiés par les commerciaux itinérants et participer à des événements et salons.

• Détectera les principaux appels d’offres, les parties prenantes et participera à la rédaction des éléments de réponse, en collaboration avec les équipes commerciales et marketing d’Hydro.

Qualifications :

      • Bac +2 ; BTS ou IUT génie civil/eau idéalement complété par une formation supérieure comme un master en gestion de l’eau

• Vaste expérience avec une solide expérience technique en matière de conception de drainage, de ressources en eau, d’aménagement du territoire ou dans un domaine similaire.

• Capacité à préparer et examiner la documentation et les plans d’ingénierie standard

• Capable d’interpréter et d’exécuter les exigences de conception de solutions guidées par la réglementation.

• Solides compétences analytiques et de résolution de problèmes

• Connaissance de l’environnement Microsoft Office et CRM

• Anglais opérationnel souhaité pour échange au sein du siège social d’Hydro et du groupe CRH.
