The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As a market leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP’s customers have large and diverse spectrum of sustainability needs – reporting of different types of wastes (product packaging, batteries, consumer devices) in conjunction with countries legislations, country specific eco-fees calculations, calculations of plastic and other waste-reducing taxes (e.g. EU plastic tax), redesign of products to reduce waste, sourcing of recycle materials, re-engineering of production and supply chain processes to reduce carbon footprint. To meet our customers’ requirements, we are setting up a new team to develop the Circular Economy solution as business application running on top of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). For this team we are looking for a talented, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated Product Owner. The team in Sofia is a strong contributor to the development of the SAP Sustainability business portfolio. We value professional skills as much as teamwork, trust, collaboration and creativity.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

· Work closely with product management, senior management, external stakeholders in order to define product vision and roadmap to SAP Circular Economy strategic goals. Act as a liaison between Engineering and external (facing) stakeholders. Includes Engineering and UX contact with customers.

· Collaborate with the development team to plan and schedule releases, deciding which deliverables will be included in each release.

· Prioritize overall functional and non-functional backlog. Solve product related problems, stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.

· Actively engage in architectural discussions and decision.

· Create product backlog items and user stories, to build a shared understanding of the problem; make sure they align with the product strategy.

· Define the WHY and WHAT by breaking-down market / customer problem into consumable product features by clearly and concisely framing the problem from an end-user perspective.

· Ensure overall product backlog is refined & well-defined; take into account business needs, technical constraints, and user feedback, and ensure product backlog is defined specifically enough for dev. team to execute on.

· Define acceptance criteria for each user story, outlining the conditions that must be met for the story to be considered complete and ready for release.

· Use feedback and data-driven insights to continuously improve the product capabilities (features and functions) to improve usage and satisfaction. Includes dentification of acceptance issues and structural product issues (e.g. by identifying patterns in tickets, etc.).

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Bachelor (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Science or similar Engineering field. Or business/social education with proven record in working with software development teams

· At least one year experience as software developer/architect or quality assurance.

· Good understanding of software development technologies, practices, architecture

· Proficiency in project management and planning

· Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

· Experience with a definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products

· Strong presentation skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

· Understanding of SAP environments and experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE

· At least 2+ years of experience as Technical Product Owner.
