One of the world’s leading semiconductor companies in advanced RFID and NFC technologies, are seeking a highly experienced, Technical Director to drive their System Architecture of their UHF RFID offering.
This is a critical, highly impactful role, driving the architecture and technical direction of their cutting-edge systems.
Key Responsibilities
-Define system-level requirements by working closely with product management, engineering, and commercial teams to translate customer and market needs into technical specifications.
-Architect end-to-end hardware and software solutions for wireless and embedded systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and manufacturability.
-Develop system integration, verification, and validation strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
-Provide technical leadership during product development, supporting design reviews, implementation, debugging, qualification, and production readiness.
-Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, guiding projects from concept through product launch while managing technical risks, evolving requirements, and complex system issues.
-Perform competitive technical analysis, reverse engineering, and benchmarking of emerging wireless and embedded technologies to identify market trends and innovation opportunities.
-Contribute to industry standards development and technical working groups related to wireless identification, low-power radio systems, and connected devices.
-Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams, providing technical direction across system architecture, RF design, embedded software, firmware, and product engineering.
Technical Profile
-Strong expertise in system architecture for UHF RFID, IoT platforms, wearable devices, and other connected embedded products.
-In-depth knowledge of RF engineering, wireless communication protocols, antenna systems, and radio-frequency design principles.
-Experience with UHF RF measurements, system characterization, validation methodologies, and laboratory test equipment.
-Solid understanding of full product development lifecycles, including requirements engineering, system integration, verification, validation, regulatory compliance, and production ramp-up.
-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to customers, engineering teams, and executive leadership.
-Advanced degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with extensive experience delivering complex embedded and wireless systems.
