At GRI we enable organizations to assess and report on the environmental, social and economic impacts of their activities. We also help build organizational capacity for sustainability reporting: from our Academy training courses to working with licensing partners to enable digital reporting with GRI’s standards. Working at GRI, you will be part of unlocking positive change in the world.We are seeking for a Technical Content Manager to develop high-quality technical content for the GRI Standards.ResponsibilitiesDelivery
- Develop targeted technical updates to the GRI Standards, including conducting research.
- Draft high-quality technical content, in close collaboration with the writers/editors and the relevant project teams, based on input from expert groups, public comments, and research. Perform technical reviews of draft GRI Standards, to ensure the clarity, consistency, and quality of the content.
- Develop guidance (such as guides, templates, and best practices) to be used by the Standards Division for drafting technical content and providing training and onboarding to colleagues.
- Draft interoperability guidance with key standards in the market, including by performing detailed mappings between standards.
- Perform technical reviews of GRI’s products and services, to ensure they are consistent.
Engagement
- Draft responses to technical inquiries and feedback on the GRI Standards and develop FAQs and guidance to clarify technical concepts to external audiences.
- Represent GRI and the Standards Division at external and internal events related to the GRI Standards.
- Engage with standard-setters and other relevant organizations in the reporting landscape to implement joint technical work.
- Support the onboarding of new colleagues.
Work Experience
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in developing or drafting standards, guidelines, or KPIs.
- Technical knowledge of reporting standards and expertise in the GRI Standards is an advantage.
- Background in socioeconomics or community development is an advantage.
- Experience in delegation of tasks to colleagues along with appropriate supervision.
Knowledge and abilities
- Fluency in written and spoken English, and fluency in one other language is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills attention to detail and a commitment to the highest standards of quality.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to write clear content for a variety of audiences.
- Results-focused with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work to precise deadlines.
- Familiarity with and interest in sustainability issues and the sustainable development agenda.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail, including experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops or training sessions.
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural setting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment where change is ongoing.
- Affinity with the mission of GRI.
