Technical Author (Product Development / Marketing)

Epping, Essex – Office Based

Up to A£40,000 + Free Onsite Parking

Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 18:00, Friday 08:30 to 17:00 (Including 1 Hour Break)

Technical Author required for a leading supplier of industrial equipment and tools. You will work with a wide range of products, many of which have won awards.

Candidates will need experience working with technical products and specifications. Experience working within a marketing team would be advantageous, however, candidates with any experience working with technical writing and documentation are encouraged .

Working within a marketing team of around 8/9 people, you will support the ongoing development of new products and coordinate documentation and marketing activities for product launches.

The Technical Author Role:

Supporting the development and introduction of new products:

– Writing technically accurate copy
– Briefing design teams regarding packaging and labelling
– Proof reading manuals
– Sending product briefs to suppliers

Sales Support:

– Preparing marketing campaigns for new and existing products
– Development of brochures, single page releases etc.
– Management of special project releases

Research and Reporting:

– Post campaign sales analysis
– Research customer databases
– Researching new customers
– Customer feedback

The Successful Candidate:

– Experience working with technical products
– From a technical writing or marketing background
