Your opportunity

Reporting to the Global Head of Operations & Regulatory Technology, this role will be responsible for the delivery of the Technology workstreams of high-profile programmes at JHI, partnering with the Operational Transformation team. The nature of these Projects and Programmes will vary over time and is likely to be diverse reflecting current business priorities. The initial programme is expected to be a multi-year global transformational project.

• Define, develop and maintain appropriate plans for the life of the projects, with associated resource and budget planning

• Control the Technology scope of projects and programmes, managing dependencies including assessing regulatory requirements and ensuring that these are met

• Adhere to the change and transformation project / product lifecycle, including maintenance of plans, briefs, risks and issues, dependency tracking and other relevant reporting artefacts (including the preparation of key project documentation/templates as required)

• Create technology delivery structures, including roles and responsibilities and governance

• Working in a hybrid model supporting the needs of the programme whilst delivering through the use of product teams

• Drive stakeholder engagement across projects, and develop and deliver an effective communication plan both externally and internally

• Chair Technology Working Group(s) as required, present progress, highlight issues, challenge and drive decisions – ensure relevant content is brought to the groups for discussion

• Drive and deliver Technology SteerCo preparation including decks and agendas

• Ensure any resources including external vendors are managed and resourced to be able to deliver successfully. Drive prioritization as appropriate

• Develop and manage project costs

• Represent the firm on industry forums where appropriate

  Must have skills

• Robust and proven track record as a programme manager

• Strong leader, equally comfortable facing off to Working and Steering Groups, challenging stakeholders, directing and motivating a cross-business team.

• Strong Microsoft office skills including Teams, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Aligned Project Certifications

• Highly organised with excellent communication skills

• Excellent stakeholder management skills – the ability to work across all levels of the organization

• Experience of managing vendors and external partners

• Background in asset management & experience in working on Operational Programmes with a focus on Middle and Back Office providers and services

• A rolled-up sleeve positive and delivery focused approach
