The Chemical Production facility in Geel, Belgium is part of the Janssen Supply Chain organization within Johnson & Johnson and is the largest manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and spray dried powders (SDP) within the network.

Working in partnership with multifunctional groups and collaboration with the business across departments with internal and external partners is a fundamental aspect to this role. Experience in manufacturing site systems (SAP, complaint handling, MES, etc.) is highly valued.

W hat you will be doing:

The CKO team leader has 2 major responsibilities: batch record preparation and batch record review:

  • Manager of a team of control room operators

  • Process owner for batch record review and batch record preparation within operations

  • Change agent which will guide the team through a multi-year digital transformation.

  • Change agent which strives for continuous improvement (clear process with roles and responsibilities, handy tools, clear metrics,…) by aligning with partners.

  • Handling of non-conformances and CAPAs (corrective and preventive actions) related to batch record review/preparation.

  • Spokesperson for operations during audits

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you, if you have the following essential requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in Chemical Engineering or Process technology (bioengineering, industrial engineering or chemistry), or consistent track record in an industrial, operational environment.

  • Experience of working in a chemicaI manufacturing environment is highly valued.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing site systems and procedures (SAP, complaint handling, change control, etc.)

  • Owns good project management, organizing, planning and coordination skills.

  • Able to set up and maintain communication with partners and wider network organization.

  • Motivated, able to work independently and take decisions autonomously, with demonstrated problem solving skills and result driven personality

  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills, e.g., influencing and handling conflicting interests.

  • Working knowledge of English (both verbally and written) and DutchSelf-driven and able to set own targets and set priorities under pressure
