Job DescriptionDo you have experience working as a manager, supervisor or Team Leader in logistics? Then IKEA Delft is looking for you! As a Team Leader logistics (at IKEA we call it Goods Flow) you are leading and supporting a team of about 20 co-workers. You coordinate and optimize Goods Flow operations in the store. This will result in product availability for customers and the correct quality of the goods flow process in the store at the lowest possible costs.IKEA Delft is looking for a Team Leader in the logistics department. Within this department we have different teams who work on different hours. We have a morning team (working hours between 05:00 and 10:00) an evening team (working between 21:00 and 01:00) and a team who works more during the day. You will be leading a Goods Flow team and you work actively with and implement the agreed logistics actions stated by the store business plan into the Goods Flow process. (e.g. thinking of actions to minimize waiting times, minimize costs, optimizing the product availability) In addition you:

• influence and lead the goods flow team in order to contribute to the highest stock availability for customers at the lowest possible cost every day by ensuring the store goods flow process is executed correctly.
• provide support in identifying and developing the many talents in the goods flow team to secure succession planning.
• influence positively the quality of products, merchandising and customer shopping experience in the store.
• live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and living IKEA culture that inspires extraordinary achievements in the store and in the goods flow team specifically.
• secure that the work of the goods flow team complies with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and environment.
• ensure efficient daily goods flow operations in the role’s area of responsibility according to the Global Service Protocol. This includes the counting process, ready-by-opening and minimising wait times at merchandise pick up.

Who are you?
As a Team Leader you are able to work together, prioritize your tasks, delegate and give feedback. You see possibilities in improving the ways of working and act on that. In addition you:

• Have experience as a leader
• Good knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is plus
• You have the ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback.
• You are able to inspire and engage others.
• You are business-minded with a clear customer focus.
• You have the ability to meet agreed budgets and goals, work on plans.
• You have problem-solving experience.
• You are able to work during early and late hours of the day, including weekends.

• Salary between 3300 and 3500 EUR gross a month based on 40 hours a week, depending on experience.

At IKEA the customer is in in focus. Our customers visit the store at various times, also in the evening, weekends, during national holidays and during school holidays. We expect that you will be present when the customers visits us. Of course, you have an impact on your schedule yourself as well.
