Teaching Assistant – Year 2 1:1 Role for Emotional NeedsA welcoming primary school in Haringey, North London, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil who requires additional emotional support. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who is patient, nurturing, and able to adapt to the needs of the child. The school is looking for someone to join their team immediately.Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 assistance to a Year 2 pupil, focusing on their emotional regulation and learning engagement.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised strategies that help the pupil thrive.
• Encourage the child’s participation in classroom activities while fostering their confidence and self-esteem.
• Maintain a calm and supportive presence, creating a positive learning environment for the pupil.

Teaching assistant – The Ideal Teaching Assistant:

• Prior teaching assistant experience working with children who have high emotional needs or Autism is beneficial.
• A confident, proactive, and compassionate individual who can handle challenges with patience.
• Able to adapt quickly to a new role and work collaboratively with the wider school team.
• Must have an Enhanced DBS or be willing to process one through Reeson Education.
