Job Advertisement: Teaching AssistantTeaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time role starts in January and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent depending on performance.About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting students and staff to ensure effective teaching and learning. You will work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students of all abilities achieve their potential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping them with classwork and building their confidence.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, including preparing resources and materials.
  • Support students with additional needs, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and participate in school activities.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback to teaching staff to inform planning and interventions.
  • Encourage student engagement and motivation, fostering a supportive atmosphere for learning.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunchtime or extracurricular sessions.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

  • Show enthusiasm for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Be organized, proactive, and reliable, capable of working effectively as part of a team.
  • Be available full-time from January through to the end of the academic year.

Previous experience in a similar role or qualifications related to education or child development would be an advantage but are not essential, as training and support will be provided.What We Offer:
