About the role – Teaching Assistant:

• Work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, supporting a Year 3 child with SEN (ASD).
• Follow the pupil’s EHCP, implementing strategies to meet specific needs.
• Support the child’s engagement, confidence, and social development in the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
• Help create an inclusive, positive learning experience for the pupil.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:

• Prior experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, is ideal.
• A patient, empathetic approach with strong communication skills.
• Passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in meeting the pupil’s needs.
• Previous experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
