  • Support the learning and development of pupils with PMLD and SLD, both individually and in groups.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating and implementing individualised learning plans.
  • Provide personal care and support to students, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use specialised equipment and resources to facilitate student learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote communication and social skills through tailored activities and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with PMLD and SLD is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
