Job Description:Grade UE07: £40,497 to £48,149 per annumCAHSS / School of Law / LawFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed term: 24 monthsThe Teaching and Research Fellow in in Artificial Intelligence, Data and the Rule of Law will pursue a research and teaching agenda addressing the interdisciplinary area linking together artificial intelligence, data and the rule of law, incorporating the legal, sociological, philosophical, ethical, cognitive and technical questions surrounding the use of computational data in areas implicating the rule of law and justice.The School of Law strives to be a diverse and inclusive community. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The salary for this post is £40,497 to £48,149 per annum.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A strong academic profile with a PhD or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced subject knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Data and the Rule of Law.
  • Ability to design and deliver course materials at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to assess student performance.
  • Ability to develop a research plan in the area(s) of expertise, including through high quality publications.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
