Role: Teacher – Physics and Computer ScienceLocation: Bedford Sixth FormSalary/ Benefits: From £31,930 – £36,878 DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.Working Pattern: 37 hrsContract Type: Permanent – Full TimeAbout the role:We are looking for Teacher of Physics and Computer Science to join Bedford Sixth Form. As a Teacher you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by:

• Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
• Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
• Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
• Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
• Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

• Degree in a relevant subject
• Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument
• English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 – 18 year olds
• Experience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learning
• Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• An ability to work as an effective team member
• Ability to demonstrate an openness to change, work flexibly and with high levels of accuracy
• Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others’ expertise and contribution
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
