We have a new opportunity for a new Teacher of Welding & Fabrication to join our apprenticeships team based at our client Rolls Royce in their Learning and Development Centre. The team you’ll be joining is energetic and diverse, with colleagues ranging from recent graduates to those with over 35 years’ experience within the Engineering industry to those who have been teaching with us for less than a year.You’ll be working with Rolls Royce apprentices ranging from 16 to 18 years old and adult apprentices on a variety of courses and supporting graduates with practical projects. You will be predominantly working in our apprentice workshop, where you will be teaching and assessing practical skills, and there may also be some classroom delivery. You will be supported to develop your teaching and assessing skills and will be mentored throughout your development period.This role will be eligible for the new Government Levelling Up Premium Payments for Further Education (FE) teachers if you are in your first 5 years of teaching within FE. These payments range from £2,000 to £6,000 for the academic year 2024-25. The ideal candidate will possess industry experience in Welding/Fabrication, along with a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in the subject, a HNC/ degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not essential.
