About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and passionate Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds starting this January. The role requires a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a deep understanding and love for the subject. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and innovative lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* An understanding of the National Curriculum for Science.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

* Collaboration: A willingness to work effectively with colleagues within the science department and across the school.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students of all abilities.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular, constructive feedback.
* Develop and implement a challenging and creative science curriculum.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised classroom and laboratory environment.
* Collaborate with the science department team to share best practices and resources.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress.
* Participate in school-wide and departmental meetings and training sessions.
* Uphold the school’s high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
* Act as a positive and professional role model for all students.
