Teacher of English (0.6 – Full Time FTE – maternity cover)

Priory School is well regarded and is consistently oversubscribed.The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, talented, committed and inspiring fixed term, Teacher of English, to cover a period of maternity leave from September 2025. *Applications are welcome from those requiring between 0.6 – Full Time FTE.The successful applicant will:

  • A commitment to high expectations, with the ability to inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop targeted learning resources to support the diverse make-up of the student body.
  • A proven track record of impacting upon students’ learning.
  • The ability to teach English at KS3 and KS4.
  • A clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The attributes to be a strong form tutor.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.

The salary grade is Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale £31,650 to £49,084. The post would be suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher.Closing date for receipt of applications: Tuesday 22nd April at 9 a.m.
